Job Description:
- We are looking to hire a versatile, dedicated and experienced Facility Officer (Electrical) who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all electrical and facility infrastructure within the clinic.
- The role supports uninterrupted healthcare delivery by proactively managing power systems, responding to faults, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems including generators, UPS systems, transformers, and distribution networks
- Monitor performance and ensure optimal functionality of all electrical infrastructure
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of facility systems and equipment.
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
- Promptly respond to electrical faults and facility-related emergencies.
- Ensure minimal disruption to clinical operations through swift resolution of issues.
- Supervise contractors and service providers handling electrical and facility-related assignments.
- Ensure all outsourced work meets required standards and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain safe working conditions within the facility at all times.
- Monitor electricity consumption and support initiatives for energy efficiency
- Provide recommendations for cost optimisation and sustainability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
- Prepare periodic facility reports for management review.
- Support implementation of facility upgrades, renovations, and improvement projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- 3–5 years’ relevant experience in facility management with strong electrical expertise.
- Experience in healthcare or similar critical-service environments is an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and infrastructure
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and strong documentation ability
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with vendors and teams
- Strong understanding of safety and regulatory standards
Work Conditions:
- May require shift support or availability outside standard hours for emergency response
- Role involves both indoor and outdoor facility monitoring.
