Job Description:

We are seeking high-integrity and service-oriented Cashiers to anchor the launch of our new hospitality project in Ibadan. In the inception phase of a premium hospitality venture, success is defined by "Transactional Precision", the ability to manage high-volume payments with 100% accuracy while maintaining the warmth and professionalism expected in a guest-facing role. This role is designed for a "Financial Gatekeeper" who can blend "Numerical Accuracy" with the "Service Excellence" required to ensure a successful project takeoff.

Your mission is to ensure "Seamless Checkout Experiences and Absolute Fund Security." You will be the final touchpoint of the guest journey: responsible for managing point-of-sale (POS) systems, reconciling daily takings, and upholding the hospitality standards of the brand. If you are a competent professional with a "Zero-Error" mindset and a passion for the Ibadan hospitality scene, we want you on our founding team.

Requirements:

1. Transactional Integrity & POS Management

• Payment Orchestration: Process guest bills accurately using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, handling cash, debit cards, and digital transfers with precision.

• Fiscal Accountability: Issue detailed receipts, process refunds where necessary, and ensure that every transaction is logged against the correct guest account or table.

• Currency Governance: Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift, ensuring that floats are managed and secured according to company policy.

2. Guest Diplomacy & Service Excellence

• Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as a friendly and professional final point of contact, ensuring guests leave with a positive impression of the establishment.

• Inquiry Management: Respond to guest questions regarding billing, menu pricing, or available promotions with clarity and patience.

• Issue Resolution: Handle minor payment discrepancies or customer complaints at the counter with a solution-oriented mindset, escalating to supervisors only when necessary.

3. Financial Reporting & Audit Readiness

• Daily Reconciliation: Perform end-of-shift reconciliations, comparing physical cash and digital reports to ensure 100% alignment.

• Documentation Fidelity: Maintain organized records of voided transactions, discounts, and complimentary items for internal audit purposes.

• Security Compliance: Adhere to all cash-handling safety protocols and anti-fraud measures to protect the organization’s revenue.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Relevant qualifications (SSCE, OND, or HND) with a focus on Accounting, Business, or related fields.

• Experience: Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar financial role, ideally within the hospitality or retail sector.

• Location: Must be resident in or willing to work in Ibadan, Oyo State.
