Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and result-driven professional to fill the position of Area Sales Manager (Medical) for our Abuja territory. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving sales growth, managing a team of medical sales representatives, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in pharmaceutical sales operations, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to build and maintain high-value relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Strategic Growth: Drive sales growth and consistently achieve business targets within the Abuja territory by developing and implementing strategic sales plans.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and mentor Medical Sales Representatives to ensure high performance and territory coverage.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with hospitals, pharmacies, distributors, and key healthcare professionals.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, analyze competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare periodic sales reports and conduct in-depth territory performance analysis to inform management decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field (an MBA is an added advantage).

  • Experience: 5–7 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry is mandatory.

  • Supervisory Experience: Previous experience as an Area Sales Manager or in a supervisory sales role is a strong advantage.

  • Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical sales operations, territory management, and effective customer engagement strategies.

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, excellent negotiation, and superior relationship management abilities.
