Job Description:

  • Financial reporting: Create and present financial statements, such as balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements. 
  • Tax Management: Prepare and file tax returns, and provide tax planning services in accordance with current legislation. 
  • Auditing and compliance: Conduct internal audits, cooperate with external auditors, and ensure all financial records comply with government regulations and accounting standards. 
  • Financial analysis: Analyse financial data to help with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and risk analysis. They may recommend actions to improve revenue and profitability. 
  • Record-keeping: Document and maintain accurate financial transactions, including processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements. 
  • Budgeting: Develop, review, and manage budgets for individuals or organizations. 
  • Advisory services: Provide financial advice to management on business decisions. 
  • Payroll management: Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate expense tracking. 

Requirements:

  • Reconciling already documented reports, statements and various transactions
  • Creating, reviewing and presenting budgets
  • Recommending financial actions by analysing accounting options
  • Cooperating with auditors in preparing audit reports
  • Guiding revenue enhancement, cost reduction and profit maximisation
  • Preparing and analysing financial statements like cash flow statement, balance sheet and profit and loss statement
  • Submitting annual tax returns
  • Bookkeeping - Recording day-to-day financial transactions, updating ledgers, and tracking cash flow.
  • Financial reporting - Preparing financial statements, regulatory documents, and compliance reports.
  • Auditing - Reviewing records to verify accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Budget analysis - Monitoring budgets versus actual spending and performance.
  • Tax advice - Advising clients on current tax codes, deductions and preparing tax returns.
  • Forecasting - Projecting future company performance using financial models and data analysis.
  • Business advisory - Guiding management on financial strategy and business decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Business Administration 
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software (like Busy Accounting Software or others), Microsoft Office, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to interpret complex financial data and identify solutions.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulousness is critical for ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Communication skills: The ability to explain complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Documenting financial transactions
  • Monitoring the efficiency of existing accounting procedures and ensuring they comply with government regulations

Salary

₦150,000 - ₦200,000/month
