Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Accountant to anchor the financial engine of our organization in Lagos. In a specialized corporate landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the reconciliation and the precision of the ledger-relay success is defined by "Fiscal Sovereignty" the ability to harmonize daily bookkeeping with the clinical precision required for Financial Reporting, Variance Analysis, and Statutory Filings. This role is designed for a "Financial Architect", specifically a professional with 2 to 3 years of experience who can blend "Technical Grit" (mastering general ledgers and tax remittances) with the "Strategic Agility" required to execute Audit Preparation and Cash Flow Management.
Requirements:
1. Orchestration & Ledger Governance
Sovereignty of the Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and journals, acting as the primary "Source of Financial Truth."
Transactional Architecture: Record all financial transactions with proper authorization and documentation, providing the "Structural Foundation" for fiscal accountability.
Integrity Stewardship: Perform daily bookkeeping activities, including posting invoices and receipts, ensuring the "Source of Transactional Data" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Reporting Logic
Reporting Sovereignty: Prepare periodic financial statements (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow), acting as the primary "Source of Performance Insight."
Variance Architecture: Track actual performance against budgets and provide rigorous variance analysis, providing the "Functional Foundation" for data-led decision making.
Audit Stewardship: Coordinate audit preparation by providing required documentation and explanations, maintaining the "Source of Audit-Readiness."
3. Operational Integrity & Statutory Power
Compliance Sovereignty: Prepare and file accurate tax returns and statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension), acting as the primary "Source of Regulatory Fidelity."
Liaison Architecture: Manage bank relationships and verify expense schedules, providing the "Relational Foundation" for seamless liquidity management.
Velocity Logic: Utilize Accounting Software expertise to accelerate the "Transaction-to-Report" cycle, maximizing the "Source of Fiscal Throughput."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
Technical Power: Proficiency in Accounting Software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Certification: Relevant professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is a distinct added advantage.
Core Skills: Hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and complex transaction processing.
