Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and resilient Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse to join our frontline medical team. In this critical role, you will provide immediate clinical care and life-saving interventions to patients suffering from acute illnesses, trauma, or urgent surgical needs. You must be a decisive professional capable of performing rapid triage and delivering high-quality care under significant pressure, ensuring patient dignity is maintained even in the most critical moments.
The ideal candidate is a registered professional who excels in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment and possesses the clinical "sixth sense" to identify patient deterioration before it becomes a crisis.
Requirements:
Clinical & Emergency Intervention
Rapid Assessment: Perform comprehensive triage, assess patient presentations, and implement individualized care plans for emergency cases.
Emergency Procedures: Monitor vital signs and initiate life-saving interventions according to established hospital emergency protocols and evidence-based practices.
Medication Management: Safely administer medications and emergency treatments, maintaining meticulous records of all clinical interventions.
Deterioration Management: Promptly identify and respond to clinical complications or patient deterioration, escalating complex cases to the Unit Manager or relevant physician when necessary.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Risk Mitigation: Continuously identify and assess clinical and operational risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols and hospital policies to maintain a sterile and safe emergency environment.
Equipment Oversight: Ensure all medical devices and emergency equipment are functional, calibrated, and used appropriately during procedures.
Quality Improvement: Participate in audits, KPI tracking, and accreditation processes to integrate quality initiatives into daily nursing practice.
Communication & Documentation
Structured Handovers: Provide clear, structured handovers to ensure seamless continuity of care during shift changes or patient transfers.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams, providing health education and counseling using innovative approaches.
Accurate Reporting: Maintain precise records of assessments and treatments; complete incident reports and "near-miss" documentation according to hospital policy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Licensing: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid and current practicing license.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in emergency nursing (recent experience is highly preferred).
Proven experience in a high-volume A&E or surgical environment.
Experience mentoring or teaching junior nursing staff is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in triage protocols, advanced patient assessment, and emergency medication administration.
Deep knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards.
Ability to maintain meticulous documentation under high-pressure conditions.
