Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and resilient Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse to join our frontline medical team. In this critical role, you will provide immediate clinical care and life-saving interventions to patients suffering from acute illnesses, trauma, or urgent surgical needs. You must be a decisive professional capable of performing rapid triage and delivering high-quality care under significant pressure, ensuring patient dignity is maintained even in the most critical moments.

The ideal candidate is a registered professional who excels in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment and possesses the clinical "sixth sense" to identify patient deterioration before it becomes a crisis.

Requirements:

Clinical & Emergency Intervention

  • Rapid Assessment: Perform comprehensive triage, assess patient presentations, and implement individualized care plans for emergency cases.

  • Emergency Procedures: Monitor vital signs and initiate life-saving interventions according to established hospital emergency protocols and evidence-based practices.

  • Medication Management: Safely administer medications and emergency treatments, maintaining meticulous records of all clinical interventions.

  • Deterioration Management: Promptly identify and respond to clinical complications or patient deterioration, escalating complex cases to the Unit Manager or relevant physician when necessary.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Risk Mitigation: Continuously identify and assess clinical and operational risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

  • Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols and hospital policies to maintain a sterile and safe emergency environment.

  • Equipment Oversight: Ensure all medical devices and emergency equipment are functional, calibrated, and used appropriately during procedures.

  • Quality Improvement: Participate in audits, KPI tracking, and accreditation processes to integrate quality initiatives into daily nursing practice.

Communication & Documentation

  • Structured Handovers: Provide clear, structured handovers to ensure seamless continuity of care during shift changes or patient transfers.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams, providing health education and counseling using innovative approaches.

  • Accurate Reporting: Maintain precise records of assessments and treatments; complete incident reports and "near-miss" documentation according to hospital policy.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education & Licensing: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid and current practicing license.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in emergency nursing (recent experience is highly preferred).

    • Proven experience in a high-volume A&E or surgical environment.

    • Experience mentoring or teaching junior nursing staff is a significant advantage.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in triage protocols, advanced patient assessment, and emergency medication administration.

    • Deep knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards.

    • Ability to maintain meticulous documentation under high-pressure conditions.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Decisiveness: Ability to act quickly and accurately during medical emergencies.

    • Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.

    • Flexibility: Willingness to work various shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
