Job Description:

The SUN Civil Society Youth Network Nigeria (SUN-CSYNN) is opening a call for 80 passionate Youth Advocates (20 per location: Lagos, Kano, Ebonyi, and FCT) to join the Youth Leaders for Nutrition (YL4N) Project. This is a high-impact volunteer opportunity for young people who are ready to become the voice of nutritional change in their communities. As a Youth Advocate, you will be on the ground, mobilizing your peers, engaging with local stakeholders, and supporting data-driven advocacy efforts to improve food systems and nutritional outcomes across Nigeria.

Requirements:

  • Community Championing: Actively promote nutrition awareness and advocate for better health and food policies within your local community.

  • Engagement & Mobilization: Lead community dialogues and mobilize other young people to take interest and action in nutrition and food system development.

  • Advocacy Support: Assist in gathering evidence, documenting success stories, and reporting on the impact of advocacy initiatives.

  • Capacity Building: Participate fully in training sessions and mentorship programs to sharpen your skills in leadership and public advocacy.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with government agencies, civil society organizations, and local leaders to drive coordinated nutrition efforts.

  • Project Execution: Support youth-led campaigns and activities designed to push the nutrition agenda forward at both the state and local levels.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Age: You must be between 18 and 30 years old.

  • Residency: You must currently reside in Lagos, Kano, Ebonyi State, or the FCT and be able to commit to the project's full duration.

  • Interest & Passion: A demonstrated interest in nutrition, public health, food systems, or youth development.
