- We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Chinese Desk team, supporting the development and maintenance of customer relationships by delivering tailored financial solutions and high-quality service that add value to clients while ensuring effective risk management and cost efficiency for the Bank.
- In this role, you will support seamless client engagement, coordinate across internal teams, and help deliver culturally attuned, value-driven banking solutions to our Chinese corporate clients operating within our ecosystem.
Functions & Responsibilities
- Identify and educate potential customers on the bank’s products and services
- Onboard new customers and businesses
- Build and deepen relationship with Chinese businesses
- Engage with privately owned Chinese companies.
- Anticipate the complex financial needs of the client and offer solutions through a wide range of products, services and tools based on client profiling and suitability assessments
- Partner with Analysts to assist with the preparation of client presentations, relationship reviews, credit reviews, and client portfolio/ franchise reviews
- Monitor and ensure customers’ compliance with credit agreements
- Negotiate foreign exchange and credit rates with customers within limits set by the bank to ensure maximum profitability to the bank
- Monitor the unit’s performance against monthly/quarterly/annual plans
- Participate in landmark events and collaboration within the relevant communities served
- Collaborate with the Head of the Desk to establish strategic partnerships with other community affiliates relating to the desk such as Embassies, financial institutions, associations
- Ensure the timely resolution and client satisfaction on all financial and operational inquiries investigations and escalations
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Head Chinese Desk
Requirements:
- A good first degree in any discipline with relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, ICAN, ACCA, CIBN.
- Minimum 3 years of financial services experience with focus on corporate and commercial banking
- Excellent Oral & Written communication skills
- Credit/Marketing skill
- Excellent financial analysis / interpretation skills
- Presentation Skill / Problem solving capabilities
- Ability to speak Chinese/Mandrin
