Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Software Engineer (Data Science & AI Focus) to join our engineering team. This role is designed for a technical expert who sits at the intersection of robust software development and cutting-edge data science. You will not only write scalable code but also design intelligent systems that leverage Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve intricate business challenges.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can navigate the entire model lifecycle—from architecting data pipelines and training models to deploying them into production environments via MLOps best practices.

Requirements:

AI & ML Development

• Intelligent Systems: Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications with a core focus on AI-driven functionality.

• Model Lifecycle: Build, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models using industry-standard frameworks.

• Advanced Techniques: Apply a range of AI techniques, including predictive analytics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and intelligent automation, to enhance product capabilities.

• Continuous Optimization: Monitor live model performance and implement iterative improvements to ensure high accuracy and operational efficiency.

Data Engineering & Analytics

• Pipeline Optimization: Develop and optimize robust data pipelines capable of large-scale processing and real-time data ingestion.

• Insight Generation: Analyze massive datasets to extract actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and improve system logic.

• Data Governance: Ensure the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and security across all intelligent systems.

Collaboration & Engineering Excellence

• Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to translate high-level requirements into technical AI solutions.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all models, system architectures, and engineering workflows.

• Best Practices: Adhere to software development best practices, including version control, modular code design, and rigorous testing.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:

  • Possess an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on AI/ML applications.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Languages: Strong proficiency in Python (highly preferred), Java, or JavaScript.

  • AI/ML Frameworks: Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

  • Data Science Stack: Expert use of Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.

  • Databases: Solid knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL database architectures.

• Advanced Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of ML algorithms and the end-to-end model lifecycle.

  • Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment strategies, and API integration.

  • Knowledge of Deep Learning, NLP, or Computer Vision is a significant plus.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on solving complex, data-driven problems.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating across diverse technical and non-technical teams.
