Job Description:
We are seeking a technically elite and operationally rigorous Service Manager to anchor the after-sales immune system and workshop engine of our organization. In the high-velocity Nigerian automotive landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the velocity of workshop turnaround and the precision of the diagnostic-filter success is defined by "Workshop Sovereignty" the ability to harmonize complex team-management with the clinical precision required for Profitability-Architecture, OEM-Compliance Governance, and Predictive-Maintenance Stewardship. This role is designed as an "Operational Command Center" a critical residency for an ambitious automotive executive who can blend "Managerial Grit" (mastering the complexities of labor utilization and parts-inventory turnover) with the "Structural Agility" required to execute High-Fidelity Service Workflows.
Requirements:
1. Operational Sovereignty & Workshop Architecture
Sovereignty of the Workshop: Manage end-to-end service operations, acting as the primary "Source of Operational Throughput."
Compliance Architecture: Implement processes aligned with brand/OEM standards, providing the "Structural Foundation" for service excellence.
Integrity Stewardship: Monitor warranty systems, turnaround times (TAT), and quality controls, ensuring the "Source of Technical-Integrity" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Fiscal Sovereignty & Revenue Logic
Fiscal Sovereignty: Ensure service revenue, labor efficiency, and parts-sales targets are met, acting as the primary "Source of Economic Sustainability."
Planning Architecture: Execute resource allocation and equipment maintenance, providing the "Functional Foundation" for facility-long-term growth.
Development Stewardship: Drive technician training and skill upgrades (including AI/digital platform proficiency), maintaining the "Source of Workforce-Momentum."
3. Customer Experience & Performance Power
Customer Sovereignty: Drive high-quality service delivery, retention, and repeat-business programs, acting as the primary "Source of Brand-Loyalty Momentum."
Process Architecture: Utilize Operational-Reporting Toolkits (MIS) to monitor performance, providing the "Relational Foundation" for data-driven management decisions.
Velocity Logic: Utilize Technical-Expertise to accelerate the "Diagnostic-to-Repair" cycle, maximizing the "Source of Institutional Reputation."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Degree or Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 6+ years of progressive automotive after-sales/service management experience.
Technical Power: Deep understanding of warranty systems, technical diagnostics, and exposure to AI-based diagnostics/predictive maintenance tools.
Aptitude: Exceptional team-leadership, operational-management, and customer-focused commercial acumen.
Mindset: Proactive, commercially aware, and ready to maintain "Workshop Sovereignty" in the fast-paced, high-stakes Nigerian automotive environment.
Core Competencies
Operational Grit: Ability to identify, isolate, and resolve workshop bottlenecks (parts-shortages, technician idle-time) in real-time.
