Job Description:

We are seeking a highly professional and technically minded Service Advisor to join our automotive service center in Lagos. In this role, you will serve as the essential link between our customers and our technical team. You will be responsible for translating complex vehicle issues into clear, actionable service plans, ensuring that every client receives expert advice, transparent pricing, and exceptional care.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in the automotive industry, combining technical knowledge of vehicle systems with the elite communication skills required to manage a high-volume service floor.

Requirements:

Customer Consultation & Advisory

• Client Intake: Greet customers professionally, identifying their service needs and accurately documenting vehicle concerns.

• Technical Guidance: Provide knowledgeable advice on maintenance, repairs, and service options, explaining technical information in a clear, concise manner for non-technical clients.

• Estimates & Transparency: Prepare accurate cost estimates and timelines, ensuring complete transparency in pricing before work begins.

Operational Coordination

• Workflow Management: Collaborate with the technical team to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and schedule appointments to meet delivery deadlines.

• Technician Liaison: Work closely with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and the efficient completion of repairs according to the highest quality standards.

• Status Updates: Proactively keep customers informed regarding the progress of their vehicles, including any necessary changes to initial estimates.

Revenue & Relationship Management

• Service Growth: Identify opportunities to upsell additional products and services that align with the customer’s vehicle health and company goals.

• Conflict Resolution: Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, striving for resolutions that ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty.

• Post-Service Follow-up: Conduct follow-up calls to ensure vehicle performance meets expectations and to address any post-service concerns.

Administration & Systems

• Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions, vehicle service history, and parts information using automotive software.

• Efficiency: Manage multiple inquiries simultaneously in a fast-paced environment without compromising on detail or accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree (BA/B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.

• Seniority: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Service Advisor specifically within the automotive industry.

• Technical Knowledge: A solid, working understanding of automotive systems, parts, and mechanical repairs.

Skills & Competencies

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients.

• Software Proficiency: High level of comfort using computer systems and specialized automotive management software.
