Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team at a fast-paced Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP). In this role, you will be the technical cornerstone for our clients, responsible for architecting, deploying, and optimizing security solutions across diverse hybrid and cloud environments. You will lead threat detection, manage incident response, and serve as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex cybersecurity risks into clear business objectives for our client stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Security Architecture & Deployment: Architect, deploy, and maintain robust security infrastructure, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, and network security appliances (firewalls, IDS/IPS).

• Incident Response & Threat Hunting: Lead investigations into security incidents across multiple client environments. Perform advanced threat hunting, forensic analysis, and develop detection rules (MITRE ATT&CK framework) to improve detection capabilities.

• Operational Optimization: Develop scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate SOC workflows and playbooks. Continuously refine detection logic to minimize false positives and improve response efficiency.

• Advisory & Compliance: Act as a technical advisor for clients, participating in reviews and translating technical vulnerabilities into business risk language. Support clients in maintaining compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and NIST.

• Vulnerability & Risk Management: Conduct end-to-end vulnerability assessments and risk analysis, guiding clients through remediation and patching strategies tailored to their specific business impact.

• Client Onboarding: Lead the technical security onboarding process for new clients, ensuring seamless integration with our managed services.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GIAC) are highly valued. Cloud-specific certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer) are preferred.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–8 years in cybersecurity engineering or security operations.

  • Prior experience in an MSSP, SOC, or cybersecurity consulting environment is strongly preferred.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • SIEM Mastery: Proven experience with platforms like Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar.

  • Cloud Security: Strong exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

  • Automation: Demonstrated ability to script using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

  • Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, proxies, and perimeter security.
