Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and technically elite Senior Facilities Engineer to anchor the process engine of our Port Harcourt operations. In the specialized landscape of oil and gas where asset profitability is dictated by the speed of flow and the mitigation of transient risks success is defined by "Process Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize complex simulations with the clinical precision required for Flow Assurance, Crude Stabilization, and Gas Dehydration. This role is designed for a "System Architect" with at least 8 years of experience (3 years in a lead capacity) who can blend "Technical Grit" (conducting steady-state and transient flow simulations) with the "Strategic Agility" required to lead HAZOP reviews and mentor junior process engineers.

Requirements:

1. Engineering Orchestration & Design Governance

  • Design Sovereignty: Develop and verify heat/material balances and fluid hydraulics with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Technical Accuracy."

  • Documentation Architecture: Prepare and approve PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment datasheets, providing the "Structural Foundation" for multi-disciplinary engineering integration.

  • Integrity Stewardship: Incorporate API and ASME standards into design philosophies, ensuring the "Source of Asset Integrity" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Operational Resilience & Flow Logic

  • Flow Sovereignty: Manage wax, hydrate, and asphaltene prevention while troubleshooting multiphase flow behavior, acting as the primary "Source of Flow Assurance."

  • Optimization Architecture: Resolve foaming, emulsions, and sand production issues to reduce liquid carryover, providing the "Functional Foundation" for crude export quality.

  • Safety Stewardship: Lead HAZOP and SIL reviews while maintaining Safe Operating Limits, maintaining the "Source of Process Risk Management."

3. Technical Leadership & Compliance Power

  • Authority Sovereignty: Act as the technical focal point for operations and maintenance teams, acting as the primary "Source of Real-Time Decision Support" during upsets.

  • Standard Architecture: Ensure all process systems comply with COREN, NSE, and international codes (ISO/NACE), providing the "Relational Foundation" for regulatory adherence.

  • Velocity Logic: Utilize 8+ years of industry expertise and Advanced Simulation Software to adopt new methodologies, maximizing the "Source of Operational Efficiency."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Process, or Petroleum Engineering.

  • Mandatory Registration: Must be a Registered Engineer with COREN and a Corporate Member of NSE.

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in process engineering (3+ years in a senior/lead capacity).

  • Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Aspen suite, Pipesim, Olga, or equivalent simulation tools.

Core Competencies

  • Technical Grit: Proven track record in executing complex simulations and hydraulic calculations.

  • Process Sovereignty: Deep understanding of Management of Change (MoC) and technical assurance.

  • Execution Power: Strong mentorship skills with the ability to resolve complex operational challenges under pressure.
