Job Description:

  • Develop and implement a robust sales strategy to penetrate the Lagos industrial market.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, textile, and paper industries.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and demand fluctuations to provide actionable insights.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for high-value industrial clients (Key Accounts).
  • Negotiate high-volume supply contracts, ensuring favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct regular client visits to ensure product satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Liaise with the production team at the farm/processing site to ensure product availability aligns with sales forecasts.
  • Oversee the logistics of starch delivery within Lagos State to ensure timely and professional distribution.
  • Manage credit limits and ensure the timely collection of receivables.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasting, and budget performance analysis.
  • Maintain an updated CRM database of all prospects and existing clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of selling industrial raw materials (starch, flour, or sweeteners) to large-scale manufacturers.
  • Understanding of the industrial landscape in Lagos (Ikeja, Agbara, Ikorodu, etc.).
  • Exceptional ability to close high-stakes deals with procurement managers and directors.
  • Ability to discuss product specifications (moisture content, pH levels, viscosity) with client Quality Assurance teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, preferably within the FMCG or Agribusiness sector.
