Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Project Manager to lead the lifecycle of our engineering and infrastructure projects. This is a mission-critical role designed for a technical leader who can balance the "Iron Triangle" of project management: delivering complex engineering solutions within approved budgets, aggressive timelines, and uncompromising quality standards.

In this position, you will be the primary custodian of project profitability and client satisfaction. You will manage everything from the technical drafting of shop drawings and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to high-stakes Bid Tendering and on-site sub-contractor coordination. If you are a COREN-registered engineer with a mastery of project finance and 10 years of post-qualification experience, we invite you to lead our most ambitious projects.

Requirements:

1. Integrated Project Planning & Technical Governance

• Resource Optimization: Develop comprehensive project schedules and budgets, ensuring the efficient utilization of manpower and machinery to drive profitability.

• Design Coordination: Oversee the development of Project Design Drawings, Shop Drawings, and “As-Fitted” documentation, ensuring technical accuracy from draughting to implementation.

• BOQ Development: Coordinate the preparation of precise Bills of Quantities from consultant drawings to support competitive and accurate tendering.

2. Financial Stewardship & Vendor Management

• Cost Governance: Adhere to strict cost-monitoring procedures, ensuring all project expenses are tracked and controlled to prevent budget overruns.

• Supply Chain Integrity: Evaluate new and existing vendors for technical capabilities and commercial viability, ensuring the assessment of approved vendors meets project standards.

• Material Quality Control: Implement and document detailed QC procedures for all incoming materials to mitigate risk and ensure engineering integrity.

3. Site Leadership & Business Growth

• Sub-contractor Management: Provide technical and commercial evaluations of sub-contractors, delegating authority while maintaining rigorous performance oversight.

• Stakeholder Synergy: Conduct site meetings and maintain cordial, high-trust relationships with clients and consultants.

• Tendering & Strategy: Actively participate in bid sourcing and develop commercial templates for financial bids to secure new, high-value business opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: B.Sc or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Minimum Second Class Upper/Upper Credit).

• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory.

• Registration: Must be a registered member of COREN and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience, with a proven track record in complex engineering project execution.
