Job Description:

NUTM is seeking a dedicated and visionary Lecturer to contribute to our flagship MSc Artificial Intelligence program. You will be instrumental in delivering high-level postgraduate instruction, shaping advanced curricula, and driving research that addresses the unique technological landscape of Africa and the world. We are looking for an expert who combines deep technical mastery in AI with a commitment to academic excellence and student mentorship.

Requirements:

• Advanced Instruction: Deliver rigorous, cutting-edge postgraduate courses in domains such as Advanced Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, NLP & LLM Systems, AI Infrastructure, and Responsible AI.

• Academic Leadership: Take the lead in curriculum evolution, ensuring our MSc program remains at the forefront of industry needs and theoretical advancement.

• Research & Publication: Pursue an ambitious research agenda, contribute to the university’s research goals, and maintain a strong record of high-impact scholarly publications.

• Graduate Mentorship: Provide high-level academic and professional guidance to MSc students, including the supervision of theses and applied research projects.

• Institutional Engagement: Contribute to the university community through active committee participation, program development initiatives, and other academic service.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a reputable institution.

• Research Record: Demonstrated excellence in research with a strong portfolio of publications in top-tier journals and conferences.

• Teaching Expertise: Extensive experience in teaching and designing curriculum at the postgraduate level.

• Subject Matter Knowledge: In-depth understanding of contemporary AI issues, including Cybersecurity intersections with AI, AI ethics, and advanced system architecture.
