Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, articulate, and strategic Public Relations Officer to represent our organization in Irrua, Edo State. You will serve as the voice of our institution, managing our public image, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring our communication strategy is consistent, professional, and impactful. If you are an adept communicator with a strong professional network and the ability to manage complex information flow, we invite you to take the lead in our public relations efforts.

Requirements:

• Public Image Management: Develop and implement strategies to promote and maintain a positive reputation for the organization.

• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for media, community leaders, and the general public.

• Media Relations: Craft press releases, newsletters, and other public-facing materials; manage our interaction with various media platforms.

• Events & Coordination: Plan and execute public events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings that align with our institutional goals.

• Strategic Advisory: Provide expert advice to management on public perception, communication risks, and community engagement.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Good honours degree (HND or B.Sc.) with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division (or equivalent) in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

• NYSC: Must possess a valid NYSC Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion Certificate.

• Professional Certification: Must be a registered/certified member of a relevant professional body (e.g., NIPR) with a valid practicing license.

• Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy is compulsory. Please note that the interview process will include a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

• Added Advantage: Possession of a higher degree (Master’s or equivalent) will be considered an asset.
