Job Description:

NUTM is seeking a visionary Professor to play a pivotal role in shaping our BSc Artificial Intelligence program. As a core faculty member, you will not only deliver high-impact instruction but also provide academic leadership, driving curriculum innovation to ensure our graduates are prepared for the global AI landscape. We are looking for an academic leader with a robust research portfolio and a genuine passion for cultivating the next generation of AI innovators in Africa.

Requirements:

• Teaching & Pedagogy: Deliver exceptional undergraduate instruction in key areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Natural Language Processing, Robotics, Computer Vision, and Generative AI.

• Academic Leadership: Lead the development and continuous refinement of the AI curriculum, ensuring it remains at the cutting edge of industry requirements and technological advancements.

• Research & Scholarship: Maintain an active, high-impact research agenda. Publish in top-tier journals/conferences and contribute significantly to NUTM’s research mission.

• Mentorship: Act as a dedicated mentor, guiding undergraduate students through academic challenges, research projects, and career development.

• Institutional Service: Participate actively in committee work, program accreditation, and broader university service to help build a world-class academic community.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a reputable institution.

• Research: An outstanding track record of scholarly publications in top-tier journals and conferences.

• Teaching Experience: Extensive experience in undergraduate teaching and curriculum development across core AI domains (e.g., ML, Deep Learning, AI Ethics).

• Professional Engagement: Active membership and involvement in professional AI organizations.

• Soft Skills:
