Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and analytically elite Procurement Manager to anchor the supply engine of AACE Foods. In the specialized landscape of Nigerian agribusiness, success is defined by "Supply Chain Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize large-scale industrial requirements with the clinical precision required for Smallholder Farmer Aggregation, Value Chain Development, and Competitive Sourcing. This role is designed for a "Sourcing Architect" with at least 5 years of experience and a background in Agriculture or Agribusiness who can blend "Field Grit" (liaising with clusters and aggregators) with the "Strategic Agility" required to analyze material spending and mitigate contract risks.
Requirements:
1. Aggregation Orchestration & Farmer Governance
Sourcing Sovereignty: Oversee the procurement of competitively priced raw materials (Chili, Ginger, Turmeric, etc.), acting as the primary "Source of Cost-Efficiency."
Value-Chain Architecture: Build and manage relationships with smallholder farmers, clusters, and aggregators, providing the "Structural Foundation" for sustainable supply.
Impact Stewardship: Track and monitor the socio-economic impact of farmer engagements, ensuring the "Source of Inclusive Growth" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Inventory Logic
Stock Sovereignty: Partner with the Production Manager to manage the inflow and outflow of inventory, acting as the primary "Source of Material Availability."
Analysis Architecture: Audit material spending to identify trends and cost-reduction opportunities, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for leakage prevention.
Risk Stewardship: Perform supplier performance management and risk assessments on all contracts, maintaining the "Source of Contractual Integrity."
3. Operational Integrity & Reporting Power
Market Sovereignty: Carry out regional and international market surveys and forecasts, acting as the primary "Source of Procurement Foresight."
Reporting Architecture: Prepare high-fidelity bimonthly and quarterly reports for senior management and development partners, providing the "Visual Foundation" for stakeholder visibility.
Velocity Logic: Utilize 5+ years of agribusiness expertise to facilitate capacity-building programs and field visits, maximizing the "Source of Value-Chain Throughput."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Agribusiness (Agric Extension is an advantage).
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the private sector or Public-Private Partnerships.
Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Nigerian agricultural sector (Chili, Ginger, Turmeric, Maize, Garlic, etc.).
Methodology: Experience in Result-Based Planning and inclusive agribusiness models.
