Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Operations Manager to spearhead our manufacturing operations in Ogun State. In the complex lubricants and chemical sector, success is defined by "Throughput Optimization", the ability to maximize production output while maintaining surgical precision in cost control and safety compliance. This role is designed for a "Strategic Industrialist", a professional with at least 10 years of experience who can blend "Engineering Grit" (Petroleum/Chemical) with the "Commercial Acumen" required to drive growth across the value chain.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Incident Operational Excellence and Sustainable Profitability." You will be the primary architect of our plant’s efficiency: responsible for process optimization, regulatory stewardship, and stakeholder diplomacy. If you possess "Leadership Mastery," a hands-on approach to industrial problem-solving, and a track record of delivering measurable performance outcomes, we want you to drive our operational sovereignty.

Requirements:

1. Process Optimization & Production Velocity

• Throughput Engineering: Optimize plant operations to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and enhance production output across the manufacturing value chain.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive "Operational Excellence" initiatives by identifying bottlenecks and implementing lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows.

• Technical Stewardship: Leverage your background in Petroleum or Chemical engineering to oversee complex industrial processes, ensuring technical specifications are met without deviation.

2. Safety Governance & Regulatory Compliance

• HSE Leadership: Ensure 100% compliance with local and international safety regulations, fostering a "Safety-First" culture across the plant floor.

• Environmental Compliance: Oversee the management of chemical waste and emissions in line with regulatory standards specific to the lubricants and energy sectors.

• Operational Standards: Maintain high institutional standards for facility upkeep, ensuring all equipment is certified, calibrated, and safely operational.

3. Commercial Acumen & Cost Governance

• Financial Stewardship: Strengthen cost control mechanisms to minimize operational waste and improve the plant's bottom-line performance.

• Stakeholder Diplomacy: Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, vendors, and community leaders.

• Performance Reporting: Develop and present data-driven reports on operational outcomes, aligning plant activities with the broader commercial growth strategy.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within the lubricants, chemicals, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.

• Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role with a track record of delivering measurable commercial growth.
