Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive NOC (Network Operations Centre) Engineer to join our technical team in Lagos. In this role, you will be the guardian of our network health, performing 24/7 surveillance and system administration to ensure peak performance and customer satisfaction. If you are an analytical, high-pressure problem solver with a strong background in telecommunications and Cisco infrastructure, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

• Network Surveillance & Administration: Perform continuous 24/7 network monitoring and system administration across all network elements. Proactively identify potential issues before they impact system performance or customer experience.

• Problem Management: Take full ownership of network-related issues. Respond to both system-reported and customer-reported problems, utilizing network monitoring and management tools to ensure efficient resolution.

• Traffic Analysis: Analyze traffic data and trends to provide insights on capacity and performance. Escalate significant areas of concern to the network design authority.

• Escalation & Collaboration: Serve as a key point of contact for technical support, escalating complex issues to third-level support (Problem Management) when necessary.

• SLA Compliance: Monitor key supplier service levels to ensure they align with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), flagging any deviations for immediate action.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: BSc or HND in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Technical Experience: Proven experience within a telecommunications or network operations environment.

• Core Technical Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of wireless communication technologies.

  • Cisco Certified (CCNA/CCNP) is required.

  • Proficiency in managing and configuring Cisco switches.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to make solid, fact-based decisions while working under pressure.

  • Proven capability to excel in an international, multi-cultural, and high-pressure technical environment.
