Job Description:

• To ensure the efficient planning, procurement, and availability of raw materials and packaging materials to support uninterrupted production while minimizing waste, costs, and stockholding

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing overstocking and stockout.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to align material supply with production needs.
• Analyze demand trends, supplier lead times, and production forecasts to optimize material procurement.
• Track and resolve material shortages or delays that could impact production schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of material usage, supplier performance, and stock movements.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in material handling and planning.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage inventory levels effectively, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing overstocking and stockouts.
• Demonstrated competence in demand forecasting and supply planning, with the ability to interpret production schedules and translate them into actionable material plans.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, reporting).
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and Finance teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

• HND/bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience​

•  3–5 years of experience in material planning or supply chain management in a food manufacturing company.
• Experience using ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics will be an added advantage
