Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Managing Director (MD) to anchor our institutional engine. In the complex landscape of Nigerian financial services, success is defined by "Systems Sovereignty"—the ability to harmonize high-growth revenue engines with the clinical precision required for regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder value creation. This role is designed for an "Institutional Architect" with 15+ years of experience (including 5+ in senior leadership) who can blend "Executive Grit" (managing a complex P&L and board relations) with the "Strategic Agility" required to lead an organization through the evolving digital and financial literacy landscape.
Requirements:
1. Visionary Orchestration & Strategic Governance
Leadership Sovereignty: Provide overall strategic leadership and set the "Long-Term Vision," ensuring every departmental goal acts as a "Source of Alignment" with the board’s objectives.
Growth Architecture: Drive revenue growth and market expansion with clinical focus, acting as the primary "Source of Value" for investors and stakeholders.
Board Synergy: Report directly to the Board of Directors and implement board-approved strategies, ensuring the "Source of Authority" is translated into operational success.
2. Operational Resilience & Regulatory Logic
Functional Stewardship: Oversee finance, technology, risk, and customer experience with millimetric precision, maintaining the "Operational Velocity" of the institution.
Regulatory Sovereignty: Ensure full compliance with CBN regulations and relevant financial services legislation, acting as the "Source of Integrity" for all institutional filings.
Risk Architecture: Monitor institutional risk metrics and performance data, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for high-stakes decision-making and crisis management.
3. Stakeholder Diplomacy & Talent Governance
Diplomatic Power: Build and sustain high-fidelity relationships with regulators, investors, and key partners, acting as the "Source of Trust" for the organization’s external ecosystem.
Talent Architecture: Lead and develop a high-performing executive team, fostering a "Culture of Excellence" and mobilizing organizational talent to meet aggressive growth targets.
Communication Sovereignty: Utilize elite board-level communication and governance skills to manage complex stakeholder interests and institutional reputation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of a First Degree in Finance, Business Admin, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant Postgraduate qualification is mandatory.
Experience: At least 15 years of progressive experience in financial services, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in growing a financial institution or managing a complex, high-volume P&L.
Core Competencies
Strategic Grit: Deep knowledge of the Nigerian financial services landscape and regulatory framework.
Stakeholder Sovereignty: Elite communication and negotiation skills for managing Board and Regulator relations.
Professional Standing: Membership of a relevant body (CIBN, ICAN, CIPM) is a significant strategic advantage.
