Job Description:
The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a visionary Technical Integration Manager to lead a multi-stakeholder consortium focused on creating dignified work for Nigerian youth (under 35) within agrifood value chains.
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a "systems thinker" who can harmonize disparate technical components—from primary production and processing to financial inclusion and youth innovation. You will be responsible for ensuring that the programme’s interventions are not just executed, but seamlessly integrated to benefit young women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Requirements:
1. Strategic Technical Harmonization
Systems Integration: Lead the technical alignment across all thematic areas: inputs, production, processing, marketing, logistics, and financial inclusion.
Theory of Change Execution: Translate high-level strategy and the Theory of Change (ToC) into integrated, operational frameworks across diverse partners and states.
Coherence Oversight: Ensure technical synergy between farm-level production systems and downstream market access, ensuring youth enterprises are linked to viable value chains.
2. Consortium Leadership & Matrix Management
Technical Coaching: Provide matrix oversight and coaching to component coordinators, fostering a culture of integrated delivery rather than working in silos.
Consortium Representation: Lead high-level technical discussions, ensuring all consortium partners understand and uphold the integrated delivery model.
Interdependent Workplanning: Lead the development of workplans that explicitly reflect the interdependencies across different technical pillars.
3. Inclusion & Safeguarding Integration
Cross-Cutting Thematics: Ensure that gender inclusion, safeguarding, and youth innovation are not "add-ons" but are baked into every technical intervention.
Vulnerable Group Advocacy: Design delivery mechanisms specifically tailored to reach and benefit young women, PWDs, and IDPs in rural and urban agrifood settings.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Rural Development, or a related field.
Leadership Experience: Extensive experience providing technical programme leadership in Market Systems Development (MSD), value chain transformation, and multisectoral agricultural interventions.
Value Chain Expertise: Deep, "farm-to-fork" understanding of agricultural workflows, logistics, and private sector market dynamics in Nigeria.
Core Competencies
Project Management: Elite skills in managing multiple, overlapping technical interventions across varied field locations.
Partnership Diplomacy: Proven ability to manage technical partnerships with private sector actors and government agencies.
Matrix Leadership: Strong people management skills with the ability to guide technical teams toward a unified goal without direct line authority.
