About Company:
Hezekiah Oluboye Media (HOM) is a faith-based media organization committed to producing high-quality digital content that communicates the Gospel, teachings, and testimonies with excellence and integrity. We operate as a professional media platform serving local and global audiences across multiple digital channels.
Job Description:
At HOM, we believe sound quality is non-negotiable. We are seeking an Audio & Technical Systems Engineer who views sound as a science and technical stability as a mission. This is a high-stakes role where you will be the ultimate guardian of our "Signal Integrity"—ensuring that every word spoken is heard with crystal clarity across all platforms.
Beyond the mixing board, you will act as a Technical Operations Deputy, bridging the gap between high-fidelity audio engineering and IT infrastructure. You aren’t just an engineer; you are a problem-solver who ensures our digital heartbeat—internet, streaming, and hardware—never skips a beat. If you are a sound expert with a strong command of IT networking and a desire to influence the visual side of production, we want you to lead our technical front.
Requirements:
1. High-Fidelity Audio Engineering
Live & Studio Mixing: Own the end-to-end sound recording and live mixing for all studio sessions and services.
Hardware Orchestration: Configure and optimize complex signal chains, including high-end microphones, audio interfaces, and both digital and analog mixers.
Acoustic Stewardship: Maintain the physical integrity of studio acoustics, soundproofing, and the maintenance of all specialized audio gear.
2. Technical Infrastructure & IT Defense
Streaming Stability: Act as the first line of defense for IT support, ensuring high-speed internet reliability and seamless digital transmissions.
System Troubleshooting: Work side-by-side with the Multimedia Producer to identify and resolve latency, jitter, or connectivity issues during live broadcasts.
Network Management: Maintain the local network infrastructure to ensure that audio-over-IP and video data flow without bottlenecks.
3. Operational Leadership & Visual Support
Strategic Deputizing: Serve as the deputy to the Media Lead, assisting with high-level scheduling, technical planning, and resource allocation.
Production Synergy: Maintain a "Plus Factor" mindset by assisting the video team with lighting, camera angles, and livestreaming workflows.
Crisis Management: Maintain an unflappable temperament under the high-pressure environment of live, unscripted broadcasts.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Sound Science: Expert knowledge of sound engineering, frequency management, and signal flow.
Networking IQ: Strong understanding of IT/networking (LAN/WAN, IP protocols) to ensure uninterrupted streaming.
Hardware Fluency: Extensive hands-on experience with modern digital mixers (e.g., Behringer X32/Midas series), interfaces, and specialized microphone applications.
Core Competencies
Technical Agility: Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues on the fly.
Hybrid Interest: A genuine interest in videography and visual aesthetics to support a multi-disciplinary media team.
Composure: The ability to stay calm and deliver results when the "Live" light is on and technical challenges arise.
