Job Description:

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for fixing things? Do you have strong technical skills and enjoy ensuring facilities run smoothly? We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our team in Victoria Island. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our facility’s infrastructure, responsible for ensuring that all systems—from plumbing to electrical—are functioning at peak efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a proactive technician who doesn't just wait for things to break, but actively identifies and resolves issues before they escalate, ensuring a safe and seamless environment for staff and clients.

Requirements:

Routine Maintenance & Repairs

• Preventive Inspections: Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections of all facility equipment and infrastructure to identify potential faults early.

• General Repairs: Execute a wide range of routine repairs across the facility to maintain a high standard of operational readiness.

• System Efficiency: Ensure that all essential systems (HVAC, lighting, water) are functioning efficiently to minimize downtime and resource waste.

Technical Troubleshooting

• Electrical & Plumbing: Handle basic electrical fixes (fuses, wiring, sockets) and plumbing repairs (leaks, blockages, fittings) with precision.

• Mechanical Support: Diagnose and resolve minor mechanical issues within the facility’s machinery or hardware.

• Rapid Response: Respond quickly to emergency repair requests and provide effective, lasting solutions under pressure.

Documentation & Safety

• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate digital or physical logs of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts replaced.

• Safety Standards: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry practices to ensure a hazard-free work environment for everyone in the building.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience:

  • 1–2 years of proven experience in facility maintenance or a similar technical role.

  • Hands-on experience in a corporate, residential, or hospitality setting.

• Technical Skills:

  • Solid foundational knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general mechanical repairs.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to look at a problem and identify the root cause quickly.
