Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Automation Engineer to provide technical leadership and operational excellence across our bottling and utility equipment. As a critical member of our engineering team, you will ensure our plant runs with maximum reliability by designing, deploying, and maintaining high-level automation systems. This is an impactful role for a leader who excels in troubleshooting complex challenges, managing CAPEX/R&M budgets, and fostering a culture of technical discipline, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Technical Leadership & Support: Serve as the plant’s primary expert for complex automation and electrical troubleshooting. Provide timely, high-quality support to restore equipment performance.

• Systems Integrity & Standardization: Set plant-wide automation operating standards. Ensure that all user program backups and electrical documentation are current, accessible, and audit-ready.

• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Implement condition monitoring tools for routine equipment assessments. Lead regular audits of electrical controls and drive the culture of "Basic Cycle Maintenance" (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication) across operations.

• Resource & Spares Management: Develop a list of critical automation spare parts to eliminate production line downtime. Prepare and manage annual CAPEX and R&M budgets using zero-based budgeting principles.

• Change Management & Capability Building: Lead the department through technological enhancements and organizational changes. Coach and mentor direct reports, ensuring the automation team stays current with industry trends.

• Strategic Reporting: Act as a communication bridge to management, highlighting critical actions required to maintain 100% equipment reliability and identifying the financial impact of operational decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: 5–7 years of hands-on FMCG operation and maintenance experience.

• Industry Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a beverage bottling company in a managerial or senior lead capacity is required.
