Job Description:

NUTM is seeking a visionary Lecturer to help shape the foundation of our BSc Artificial Intelligence program. As a core faculty member, you will bridge the gap between complex theoretical concepts and real-world industrial application. We are looking for an academic leader who is passionate about undergraduate pedagogy, eager to contribute to a world-class research environment, and committed to mentoring the next generation of African AI talent.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate Instruction: Deliver high-quality, engaging courses across key AI domains, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, NLP, Robotics, Computer Vision, and Generative AI.

• Curriculum Leadership: Spearhead the development and evolution of the BSc AI curriculum, ensuring it is both academically rigorous and directly aligned with the evolving needs of the global industry.

• Student Mentorship: Provide academic and career guidance to undergraduate students, fostering their professional growth and encouraging participation in cutting-edge research.

• Research Excellence: Engage in innovative, high-impact research that supports the university’s institutional objectives and expands the frontiers of AI.

• Institutional Service: Participate actively in committee work, program accreditation, and collaborative university activities that build a vibrant, inclusive, and innovative campus community.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a reputable institution.

• Research Track Record: An outstanding record of scholarly publications in top-tier journals and conferences.

• Teaching Experience: Significant experience in undergraduate teaching and curriculum design in core AI subjects.

• Professional Engagement: Active involvement in AI-related professional organizations.
