Job Description:

• Our client in the Oil & Gas EPC sector is seeking to hire an experienced Lead Mechanical & Piping Engineer to oversee the design, engineering, and execution of mechanical and piping systems for oil and gas projects.
• The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with industry standards, manage engineering deliverables, and support projects from concept through construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, review, and approval of mechanical and piping engineering deliverables, including drawings, datasheets, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate mechanical and piping engineering activities across FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Review contractor and vendor designs to ensure compliance with client specifications, international codes, and project standards.
• Provide technical support by resolving engineering and construction challenges.
• Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor engineering progress, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with HSE, QHSE, and company procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements:

• B.Eng. / B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical and piping engineering within the Oil & Gas EPC industry, including engineering design, construction, and commissioning.
• At least 3 years' experience in a Lead or Senior Mechanical / Piping Engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of piping design, mechanical systems, international engineering codes, and EPC project execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design software.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• COREN / NSE registration or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
