Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead Electrical Engineer to provide high-level technical leadership for our projects in Lagos. In this role, you will be the final authority on electrical system design, project feasibility, and site implementation. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee complex electrical infrastructure, and ensure that every project phase from conceptual design to commissioning is executed with technical excellence and in strict compliance with global safety and quality standards. This position is designed for a seasoned expert who combines deep technical knowledge with a strategic approach to large-scale engineering project management.

Requirements:

• Technical Authority: Serve as the lead engineer for electrical design, load calculations, system architecture, and electrical infrastructure development.

• Project Leadership: Oversee the lifecycle of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule, and to the highest industry standards.

• Design & Strategy: Review and approve electrical engineering designs, technical specifications, and schematics. Drive innovation in electrical systems to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC) and local Nigerian electrical codes and safety regulations.

• Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and project staff. Foster a culture of technical rigor, continuous learning, and safety.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and external stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure seamless site integration.

• Quality & Risk Management: Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and risk assessments to ensure system reliability and proactive troubleshooting of electrical faults.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional engineering licensure or relevant certifications are highly desired.

• Experience: 12+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in electrical engineering, specifically within large-scale industrial, commercial, or utility-scale environments.
