Overview

  • The Land Surveyor at Geoinfotech is responsible for measuring, mapping, and analyzing land and property features to support construction, GIS, and civil engineering projects. This role ensures that all surveys are accurate, compliant with regulations, and aligned with project requirements.
  • The Land Surveyor works closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and GIS specialists to provide precise spatial data for planning, design, and decision-making. Utilizing modern surveying equipment, GIS tools, and mapping software, the role contributes to high-quality deliverables, efficient project execution, and informed land management decisions.

Job Purpose

  • The purpose of the Land Surveyor role at Geoinfotech is to accurately measure, map, and analyze land and property features to support construction, GIS, and engineering projects.
  • This role ensures that all survey data is precise, reliable, and compliant with legal and regulatory standards, providing critical information for planning, design, and decision-making.
  • The Land Surveyor contributes to efficient project execution, high-quality deliverables, and informed land management through expert use of surveying techniques and technology.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys to measure and map land, boundaries, and property features accurately.
  • Use modern surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, theodolites, and laser scanners.
  • Prepare topographic maps, site plans, and boundary surveys for projects.
  • Interpret legal descriptions, property boundaries, and survey data accurately.
  • Collect, process, and analyze spatial data using GIS and CAD software.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, GIS specialists, and project managers to provide precise survey data for project planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with local land laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Review and verify survey data to maintain accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports and documentation summarizing survey findings for clients and project teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, GIS, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in land surveying or related geospatial projects.
  • Proficiency with surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, theodolites, and laser scanners.
  • Strong knowledge of GIS and CAD software for mapping and spatial analysis.
  • Understanding of land laws, property boundaries, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in data collection, processing, and report preparation.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, coordinating with engineers, architects, and project managers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental guidelines in surveying operations.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Registered Surveyor or relevant licenses) are an advantage.

 

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of practical experience in land surveying, preferably in GIS, construction, or civil engineering
