The Opportunity

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estate Surveyor and Valuer to join our dynamic real estate team in Lekki, Lagos. The ideal candidate will deliver expert property valuation, management, and advisory services — providing clients with accurate, ethical, and strategic guidance across all facets of the Nigerian real estate landscape.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to grow their career while contributing to high-impact property projects in one of Africa’s fastest-growing markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive property valuations for residential, commercial, and industrial assets in line with NIESV/ESVARBON standards
  • Prepare clear, data-driven valuation reports, feasibility studies, and market analysis documents
  • Carry out physical property inspections, due diligence, and data collection for accurate assessments
  • Advise clients on property investment opportunities, sales strategies, leasing terms, and portfolio optimisation
  • Support end-to-end property management activities, including tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and documentation
  • Monitor Lekki, Lagos Island, and broader Nigerian real estate trends, regulatory updates, and emerging market dynamics
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, developers, real estate agents, legal teams, and government agencies
  • Ensure all activities comply with Nigerian property laws, professional ethics, and industry best practices

Scope of work

  • Valuation Services: Deliver accurate and defensible valuations for mortgage purposes, acquisition and disposal, insurance, litigation, compulsory acquisition, and investment analysis across residential, commercial, and industrial property classes
  • Advisory & Consultancy: Provide strategic real estate advisory services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients on property acquisition, divestment, leasing, and portfolio management
  • Property Management Support: Assist in the day-to-day management of assigned property portfolios, including rent reviews, service charge administration, lease renewals, and tenant liaison
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property values, rental trends, and transactional activity across the Lekki corridor and Greater Lagos market
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all valuation reports, agency agreements, and management documents are prepared in compliance with ESVARBON, NIESV, and applicable Nigerian property laws
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain professional relationships with clients, financial institutions, legal practitioners, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Estate Management, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related discipline from a recognised institution
  • 2 – 3 years of proven experience in property valuation, real estate advisory, or property management
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with property valuation software is an added advantage
  • Communication: Excellent report writing, presentation, and client-facing capabilities
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Lagos property dynamics, land tenure systems, and local market drivers — particularly within the Lekki axis

Preferred qualification:

  • Professional certification or registration with ESVARBON (Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria) and/or membership in NIESV (Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers)
  • RICS accreditation or knowledge of International Valuation Standards (IVS) is a strong advantage
  • Experience working with institutional clients, REITs, or property development firms.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive remuneration package
  • Exposure to diverse and high-value property portfolios across Lagos
