Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and commercially aggressive Key Account Executive to anchor our "Mega Account" operations on Lagos Island. In the competitive retail ecosystem, success is defined by "Shelf-Space Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize high-level category analysis with the clinical execution of merchandising standards and debt recovery. This role is designed for a "Market Architect" who can blend "Analytical Grit" (brand and off-take analysis) with the "Operational Agility" required to manage complex route plans and "First-Expiry First-Out" (FEFO) stock rotation.

Requirements:

1. Category Sovereignty & Profitability Governance

  • Channel Analytics: Evaluate and monitor the profitability of outlets and channels with clinical precision, sharing deep-dive category and brand analysis with HO for strategic review.

  • Mega Account Stewardship: Establish and enforce service standards for "Mega Accounts," measuring efficiency and closing operational gaps to ensure premium brand positioning.

  • Fiscal Responsibility: Manage the full lifecycle of debt reconciliation for credit customers, ensuring the aggressive recovery of aged debts to protect company cash flow.

2. Tactical Execution & Merchandising Integrity

  • Demand Engineering: Take proactive responsibility for creating demand within the store environment, utilizing cross-selling and up-selling techniques to seize market share from competitors.

  • Inventory Lifecycle Management: Ensure products are maintained in high-fidelity condition, executing FEFO (First-Expiry First-Out) stock rotation and replacing overage stock at Point of Sale (POS) to ensure freshness.

  • Planogram Discipline: Implement and maintain planograms according to strict instructions, ensuring the brand's visual identity is optimized for maximum shopper engagement.

3. Market Intelligence & Relationship Diplomacy

  • Stakeholder Synergy: Build and maintain high-trust relationships with store managers, floor supervisors, and syndicated merchandisers to ensure priority treatment for company products.

  • Competitive Reconnaissance: Act as the "Eyes and Ears" of the organization, informing management of new competitive developments, product launches, or shifting retail trends.

  • Data Integrity: Capture accurate off-take and Out-of-Stock data, building a quality database that informs HO improvement strategies.

  • Trade Representation: Represent the company at high-impact trade promotions and expos, serving as the lead brand ambassador in the Lagos Island market.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: Proven experience in Key Account Management or FMCG Sales.

  • Mobility: Must possess a working vehicle for daily mobility across Lagos Island locations.

  • Availability: Must be available for immediate resumption.

Core Competencies

  • Technical Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of SKUs, branding, flavors, and pricing structures.

  • Analytical Prowess: Ability to perform brand and category analysis to drive channel profitability.

  • Leadership & Control: Ability to oversee and direct the work of direct and indirect associates (merchandisers).
