Job Description:
Agu is seeking a highly analytical Inventory Reconciliation Specialist to serve as the custodian of our physical and digital assets. In a modern retail environment spanning physical stores and e-commerce platforms, inventory accuracy is the foundation of profitability. This role is designed for a "Technical Stock Auditor", someone with 3–5 years of experience who can bridge the gap between warehouse physical reality and ERP system records.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Leakage" in our supply chain. You will be responsible for the entire reconciliation lifecycle: from daily system-to-shelf audits and warehouse-to-store transfer validation to deep-dive variance analysis and the strengthening of internal fraud controls. If you possess exceptional reconciliation capabilities and the grit to enforce SOPs in a fast-paced retail environment, we want you to safeguard our inventory.
Requirements:
1. High-Velocity Reconciliation & Counting
Tri-Channel Alignment: Perform rigorous daily and weekly reconciliation of physical stock across the Warehouse, Retail Stores, and E-commerce platforms.
Transaction Validation: Audit the integrity of Goods Received Notes (GRNs), inter-store transfers, and customer returns to ensure every movement is captured accurately.
Stock Count Leadership: Drive the execution of monthly and periodic physical counts, ensuring that financial records perfectly mirror floor stock.
2. Variance Analysis & Shrinkage Control
Root Cause Investigation: Move beyond identifying discrepancies to performing deep-dive analysis into why variances occur, whether due to administrative error, theft, or logistics failure.
Trend Monitoring: Analyze stock movement patterns to detect unusual activity and provide actionable recommendations to management to reduce shrinkage.
Accuracy Reporting: Prepare board-ready inventory accuracy reports that quantify stock health and the effectiveness of current controls.
3. Governance, Compliance & ERP Management
SOP Enforcement: Act as the primary enforcer of inventory policies, ensuring Store Supervisors and Warehouse Officers adhere strictly to standard operating procedures.
Internal Control Strengthening: Conduct unannounced spot checks and audit-ready documentation reviews to minimize fraud exposure and stock loss.
Systems Visibility: Support automation initiatives within the ERP to improve real-time inventory visibility and data accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
Experience: 3 – 5 years in Inventory Control, Warehouse Accounting, or Stock Audit. Retail experience is a major competitive advantage.
Technical Savvy: Expert-level proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.
Core Competencies
Analytical Precision: Deep understanding of inventory control frameworks and internal audit procedures.
Exceptional Reconciliation: Ability to handle complex data sets across multiple locations without confusion.
Integrity & Firmness: Strong interpersonal skills to enforce compliance and address discrepancies professionally.
