We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

Evaluate, strengthen, and enforce internal control systems to ensure compliance, safeguard assets, and maintain operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review internal processes and documentation for policy and regulatory compliance

• Conduct field visits to verify branch operations and financial records

• Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and non-compliance, recommending corrective actions

• Ensure proper authorization, documentation, and record-keeping for all transactions

• Investigate frauds, irregularities, and operational lapses, and prepare reports

• Monitor loan disbursements, repayments, and reconciliations for accuracy

• Train staff on internal control policies and compliance requirements

• Prepare periodic internal control reports for management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field

• 1–3 years experience in internal control, audit, or compliance (microfinance, commercial bank, or financial institution)

• Strong knowledge of microfinance operations, risk management, and regulatory guidelines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)

• Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills

• High ethics, integrity, and attention to detail
