Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Internal Audit Officer to join our team in Lagos. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and robust risk management across our business functions.

Requirements:

• Risk & Control: Assess risk management principles and identify red flags; review the suitability and effectiveness of internal controls.

• Audit Execution: Conduct comprehensive audits of business processes, policies, financials, operations, and HSSE.

• Reporting: Develop risk-based audit programs, prepare draft audit reports, and discuss findings/solutions with management.

• IT & Systems: Perform audits of IT and data management systems, including ERP platforms.

• Compliance & Operations: Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and conduct periodic inventory counts and reconciliations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: University Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• Experience: 1–3 years of cognate experience (IT/Systems experience is a major advantage).

• Professional Certification: Possession of relevant qualifications (CIA, CISA, ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle or Power Enterprise preferred).

• Competencies: Strong analytical skills, sound independent judgment, high attention to detail, and the ability to manipulate large data sets.

• Flexibility: Ability to travel for audit assignments at short notice.
