Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and driven Instrumentation Engineer to join our expanding team in Kano. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, precision, and efficiency of our power plant’s instrumentation and control systems. Requirements:
Maintenance & Calibration: Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and calibration of field instruments (transmitters, sensors, control valves) to ensure accurate plant operation.
System Oversight: Monitor and optimize Control Systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA) to ensure stable power generation and efficient process control.
Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analysis on instrumentation failures, providing timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain optimal plant availability.
Operational Excellence: Support O&M initiatives, ensuring that all equipment functions within specified safety and performance parameters.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to industry safety standards and operational protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, instrument logs, and technical reports for plant management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) within a power plant environment.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in field instrumentation, control systems, and troubleshooting electrical/electronic components.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of power plant safety, regulatory compliance, and industrial automation.
Attributes: A results-oriented professional with a strong drive for learning and taking on new technical challenges.
Location: Ability to work on-site in Kano.
