Job Description:

  • To provide support in implementing and managing human resource systems and procedures in order to promote an employee-oriented, high-performance culture within GZI.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates HR operational plan for the plant and provides feedback to the HR Manager.
  • Prepares and submits HR reports monthly.
  • Administers HMO registration and manages HMO-related issues.
  • Manages payroll administration, maintains and updates HR database as required.
  • Supports the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Supports the recruitment and selection process by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process.
  • Assists in initiating and executing performance management processes within GZI.
  • Provides support to the HR Manager in handling all employee relations issues.
  • Supports grievance handling and disciplinary procedures within GZI.
  • Manages and updates employee records (attendance, employee file, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Reviews employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
  • Provides support in deploying learning interventions.
  • Monitors the staff attendance management system.
  • Documents, implements and maintains the requirements of the Quality, Food Safety, Environment, Health and Safety management systems.
  • Assess and advise on HR Policy and employment contract matters, representing the interests of staff and management.

Requirements:

  • Candidates possess an HND or First Degree in Human Resources or a related social science discipline
  • Relevant certification from a reputable professional institution e.g. CIPM, CIPD, SHRM
  • At least 4 years post-qualification experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong track-record in HR generalist and change management roles
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good working knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Law
