Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and disciplined HR Officer to manage daily human resources operations within our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our workforce, ensuring that recruitment, employee relations, and administrative processes are executed with precision. You will play a vital role in maintaining the operational discipline required in a production environment while fostering a positive workplace culture.
The ideal candidate is an HR professional with a strong technical grasp of labor laws and the specific administrative challenges of the manufacturing sector.
Requirements:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Recruitment Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from drafting job descriptions to sourcing and screening candidates.
Onboarding: Facilitate comprehensive orientation programs for new hires to ensure smooth integration into the manufacturing facility.
Personnel Administration & Payroll Support
Records Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee files and HR documentation in compliance with data privacy standards.
Attendance & Leave: Oversee daily attendance tracking, manage leave applications, and ensure shift schedules are maintained.
Payroll Preparation: Support the finance department in payroll preparation by providing accurate data on attendance, deductions, and benefits.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Disciplinary Procedures: Handle disciplinary matters and grievances in line with company policy and professional standards.
Labor Law Adherence: Ensure all HR activities and facility operations comply with Nigerian labor regulations and statutory requirements.
Welfare & Engagement: Coordinate staff welfare activities and support employee engagement initiatives to drive productivity and morale.
Performance & Development
Performance Management: Assist in the implementation of performance appraisal cycles and track employee development goals.
Policy Implementation: Ensure all staff are aware of and adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3–4 years of proven HR experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
Legal Knowledge: Good working knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and modern HR best practices.
Technical & Professional Skills
Digital Literacy: High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and data management.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple administrative priorities simultaneously.
