Job Description:

DSL Pharma is seeking a high-impact HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as the strategic architect of our workforce in the agro-pharmaceutical sector. In a highly regulated manufacturing environment, HR is not a back-office function, it is a frontline driver of operational safety, compliance, and competitive advantage. This role is designed for a "People Strategist & Operations Specialist", someone with 5+ years of experience who can align complex business objectives with talent initiatives while managing the administrative heartbeat of a manufacturing plant.

Your mission is to bridge the gap between corporate vision and factory-floor execution. You will be responsible for the entire human capital lifecycle: from high-stakes talent acquisition and industrial relations to fleet management, facility maintenance, and corporate insurance. If you possess the CIPM credentials and the emotional intelligence to navigate organizational change, we want you to lead our HRBP function.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Alignment & Talent Architecture

  • Business Integration: Collaborate with senior leadership to translate agro-pharma strategic priorities into actionable HR initiatives (Workforce Planning, Succession, and OD).

  • High-Performance Culture: Guide managers on performance calibration, identifying training gaps, and implementing "High-Po" (High Potential) development programs.

  • Talent Acquisition: Deploy aggressive recruitment strategies to attract niche technical talent required for pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D.

2. Operational Governance & Administrative Oversight

  • Facility & Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing environment; oversee office space and contractor adherence.

  • Fleet & Logistics: Maintain a functional vehicle pool, monitoring logs, ensuring timely renewals, and optimizing movement costs.

  • Risk & Insurance: Liaise with Headquarters to manage corporate insurance programs and coordinate with insurers for timely claims settlement.

  • Security Coordination: Determine site security needs, supervise personnel, and lead emergency response protocols.

3. Employee Relations & Regulatory Compliance

  • Industrial Harmony: Resolve complex employee relations issues, fostering an inclusive culture while ensuring 100% compliance with Nigerian Labour Laws and industry-specific regulations.

  • HSE Integration: Ensure HR practices strictly align with Health and Safety regulations unique to a chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing floor.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize HR analytics to generate regular reports on key metrics (Attrition, Engagement, Training ROI) to inform executive decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, or related field. (Master’s Degree is a distinct advantage).

  • Experience: 5 years of progressive HR experience, specifically in an HRBP capacity.

  • Industry Context: Experience in Agro-Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, or FMCG Manufacturing is highly advantageous.

  • Certification: CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management) certification is a major competitive asset.

  • Change Management: Ability to lead organizational transitions with transparency and minimal resistance.

  • Conflict Resolution: Skilled in managing sensitive employee relations with high emotional intelligence and neutrality.
