Job Description:
We are looking for a highly organized and approachable Human Resource Assistant to join our team in Lagos. This role is perfect for a professional who values the balance of a hybrid work environment and is passionate about supporting employees and streamlining HR operations.
As an HR Assistant, you will be the operational backbone of our department, ensuring that our staff from new hires to tenured team members—have the support and documentation they need to succeed. Requirements:
HR Operations & Administration
Employee Lifecycle Support: Assist with core HR processes, including recruitment support, onboarding new hires, and managing offboarding procedures.
Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential digital and physical employee records, ensuring compliance with company standards and data privacy.
Office & HR Tools: Utilize office productivity tools and HR software to manage workflows, generate reports, and track department metrics.
Service & Communication
First-Point-of-Contact: Provide excellent customer service to employees by answering inquiries, resolving minor issues, and directing more complex matters to the appropriate HR lead.
Internal Communication: Maintain effective and clear communication channels within the organization, helping to distribute policies, updates, and announcements.
Training & Development
Logistical Support: Assist in the coordination of training initiatives, including scheduling sessions, preparing materials, and tracking participant attendance and feedback.
Development Tracking: Support the team in monitoring employee development progress and ensuring training resources are utilized effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Technical Competency:
Working knowledge of HR processes, procedures, and best practices.
Proficiency in using office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office/Google Workspace) and basic HR software.
Soft Skills:
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; you can interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
Customer Service Mindset: You are naturally helpful and patient, with a focus on delivering a positive employee experience.
Organization: You have impeccable time management skills and can prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
Collaboration: You enjoy working in a team and are comfortable transitioning between remote and office-based tasks.
