Job Description:
Filmhouse Group is seeking a visionary HSE Manager to lead our safety culture across all cinema and operational locations. In a high-traffic environment where public safety and operational continuity are paramount, we need a leader who moves beyond "compliance" to achieve "excellence."
Your mission is to develop and enforce the HSE framework that protects our guests, staff, and assets. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of safety management—from conducting monthly mock drills and investigating incidents to collaborating with construction teams on equipment design and hazardous assessments. If you have 5+ years of experience and hold a NEBOSH IGC, we invite you to anchor the safety standards of Nigeria’s leading cinema group.
Requirements:
1. Governance & Operational Standards
Process Architecture: Develop and drive the implementation of HSE procedures across the Filmhouse Group, ensuring global safety standards are met.
Audit & Compliance: Lead the audit and inspection process for all cinema locations and construction sites to ensure 100% adherence to regulatory requirements.
Risk Reporting: Prepare data-driven reports for quarterly Board risk reviews, highlighting trends, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
2. Emergency Readiness & Incident Management
Crisis Simulation: Develop monthly mock drill scenarios (Fire, Medical, Crowd Control) and analyze feedback to harden emergency response systems.
Incident Forensic: Lead root-cause investigations for all incidents, ensuring that recommendations are implemented to prevent reoccurrence.
Infrastructure Safety: Partner with the Facility and Development teams on special construction projects to conduct hazard assessments and ensure equipment safety.
3. Leadership & Safety Culture
Competency Building: Coordinate HSE training programs across all levels of the organization, fostering a "Safety First" mindset.
Regulatory Liaison: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations and serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies.
Strategic Budgeting: Manage the HSE budget effectively to ensure all safety equipment and training needs are met without compromising operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. in any Science or Social Science related course.
Certifications: Must hold NEBOSH IGC 1 and 2, First Aid, or equivalent international safety certifications.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years+ in Health and Safety, ideally within the Hospitality, Entertainment, or Construction sectors.
