Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized, experienced, and people-oriented Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead our HR department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the entire employee lifecycle from strategic workforce planning and high-volume recruitment to performance management and workplace culture development. You will act as a strategic partner to management, ensuring that our HR operations are not only compliant with Nigerian labor laws but also designed to drive productivity and excellence within the hospitality sector.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who can balance administrative precision with the emotional intelligence required to manage employee relations and foster a world-class service culture.
Requirements:
Strategic HR Operations & Policy
Policy Design: Develop and implement robust HR policies, procedures, and systems that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
Compliance: Ensure all workplace practices strictly adhere to Nigerian Labor Laws and specific hospitality industry regulations.
Workforce Planning: Advise senior management on manpower needs, succession planning, and strategic organizational design.
Talent Management & Development
End-to-End Recruitment: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, selection, onboarding, and the management of professional exit processes.
Performance Management: Coordinate and refine staff training, career development programs, and annual performance appraisal systems.
Productivity Improvement: Work closely with department heads to identify and address specific HR needs that directly impact operational efficiency.
Employee Relations & Welfare
Conflict Resolution: Manage employee relations, including grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and high-level conflict resolution.
Culture & Engagement: Promote a positive workplace culture, overseeing employee welfare initiatives and engagement programs to boost morale and retention.
Communication: Serve as the primary bridge between management and employees, ensuring transparent and professional communication across all levels.
HR Administration & Payroll
Personnel Documentation: Maintain meticulous personnel records and oversee HR reporting to ensure data-driven decision-making.
Benefits Administration: Supervise payroll processing, benefits management, leave tracking, and overall staff record-keeping.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Professional Status
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Advantage: A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is highly desirable and considered an added advantage.
Experience & Industry Knowledge
Seniority: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in an HR management role.
Sector Focus: Prior experience within the hospitality industry or a similar service-oriented environment is strongly preferred.
Legal Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and modern HR best practices.
