The business is in active growth and seeks to build the operational foundations required for sustainable expansion.
Job Description:
- The Head of Operations will serve as the operational backbone of the business during a critical growth phase, carrying ownership across operational management and growth execution.
- This is a senior, hands-on role for a high-calibre professional who can build structures, processes and partnerships from the ground up, balancing strategic thinking with on-the-ground delivery in a lean, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Design, document and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all core business functions.
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance across all active states.
- Coordinate multi-state field operations including local agent or partner networks.
- Monitor operational performance metrics and report regularly to senior leadership.
- Ensure full compliance with LSLGA licensing requirements and other relevant regulatory obligations.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks proactively, maintaining business continuity.
Marketing Execution:
- Own and drive the market strategy, defining how LottoNowNow expands across target states, channels, and customer segments.
- Lead and coordinate the planning and execution of acquisition campaigns across online and offline channels to drive app downloads, player registrations, and ticket sales.
- Oversee trade marketing, field activations, and on-ground promotional activities across target states.
- Build and manage the distribution network, including agents, trade channels, media partners, brand ambassadors and third-party outlets.
- Oversee digital and offline marketing activity in coordination with any creative, media, or agency partners.
- Track and report campaign performance, drawing insights to optimise spend and messaging.
Ambassador Program Management:
- Own the end-to-end Ambassador Program, from candidate identification and vetting through to contracting, onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
- Coordinate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure all campaign materials, captions, and posting instructions are delivered to ambassadors ahead of schedule.
- Manage ambassador game configuration in coordination with the platform team, including entry pricing, game timelines and entry caps, ensuring every game is set up and live on schedule.
- Oversee all ambassador draw events, ensuring live sessions are executed on time, transparently, and in accordance with LSLGA requirements.
- Review and approve monthly ambassador commission calculations; ensure fixed fees and variable commissions are settled accurately and on time.
- Identifying, evaluating, and preparing new ambassador candidates to support programme scaling in subsequent month.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, onboard and manage a lean operational team appropriate to the company's current scale.
- Set clear performance objectives for direct reports and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Represent operational interests at leadership and planning meetings.
Commercial & Financial Oversight:
- Manage the operational budget, tracking actual spend against approved allocations.
- Support revenue generation by ensuring operational readiness for sales and marketing initiatives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose efficiency improvements where applicable.
- Provide input into business planning and strategic decisions from an operational standpoint.
Requirements:
- BSc. /HND/OND required.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a senior operational or multi-functional leadership role.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional or cross-state teams in Nigeria.
- Direct, hands-on experience managing marketing campaigns and go-to-market programmes from planning through execution to performance reporting
- Exposure to a regulated industry is strongly preferred (gaming, lottery, financial services, FMCG trade compliance, etc.).
- Experience working within lean, startup-stage or growth-stage organisations is an advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications in operations, project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2), or process improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt) are beneficial.
