Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Support Officer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in day-to-day financial operations, with a strong focus on payroll management, statutory tax compliance, and accurate financial data entry. The ideal candidate possesses solid analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and hands-on experience with Quickbooks accounting software. 

Requirements:

● Payroll Management: End-to-end processing of monthly payroll, ensuring accurate calculations of earnings, deductions, and net pay.

● Statutory Remittances: Compute, file, and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (including PAYE, VAT, WHT, NHF and Pension) in strict compliance with current tax laws.

● Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records by posting daily transactions, invoices, and expenses on QuickBooks Online.

● Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and ledger reconciliation to ensure financial data integrity.

● Financial Support: Assist the finance team with audit preparations, financial reporting, and handling routine vendor or client payment inquiries.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

 

● Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in a similar accounting or finance support role.

● Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with QuickBooks Online and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

● Technical Skills: Strong understanding of payroll processing workflows and statutory tax regulations. Professional certification progress (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.

● Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial data with high confidentiality.
