This is not a conventional EA role. The right candidate will be someone who has operated at the highest levels of executive support and understands that true effectiveness in this position requires commercial acumen, discretion, strategic thinking, and the confidence to act decisively in the GMD's stead when required.
Requirements:
Executive Office Management
Calendar & Correspondence: Manage the GMD's calendar with high intelligence; oversee all executive correspondence with professional priority.
Logistics: Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, including visas and itineraries.
Briefings: Prepare comprehensive briefs, background notes, and talking points for all engagements.
Chief of Staff Functions
Accountability: Track strategic action items and deliverables to ensure leadership team alignment.
Liaison: Act as a trusted intermediary between the GMD and subsidiary heads, board members, and external partners.
Meetings: Attend leadership meetings, record minutes, and translate decisions into actionable items.
Resource Management: Manage office budgets, discretionary expenses, and vendor relationships.
Strategic & Project Support
Documentation: Assist in the creation of board presentations, investor decks, and strategic reports.
Intelligence: Conduct research, competitive analysis, and data synthesis on market/industry topics.
Project Leadership: Drive special projects assigned by the GMD, coordinating cross-functional teams.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
VIP Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for investors and high-value stakeholders.
Relationship Building: Maintain strong internal and external professional relationships with authority and discretion.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate qualification (MBA/Management) is a significant advantage.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in executive support, with at least 3 years at the C-suite level or as a Chief of Staff. Experience in a conglomerate or high-growth environment is preferred.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to represent the GMD effectively.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of Microsoft Office Suite and project/task management tools.
