Job Description:
The Employee Relations Manager at Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc. will be responsible for cultivating a positive and productive workplace environment through the effective management of employee relations, resolution of workplace conflicts, and adherence to labor laws and company policies. This role involves strategic leadership in employee engagement, policy development, and fostering open communication between employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute employee relations strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.

Serve as a key resource for addressing and resolving employee grievances and workplace conflicts.

Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops on employee relations and workplace ethics.

Monitor employee satisfaction and assess organizational culture through regular feedback mechanisms.

Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory standards.

Design and manage employee welfare and wellness initiatives.

Oversee internal communication channels to enhance employee engagement and feedback.

Advise senior management on policy enhancements and preventive measures to reduce ER risks.

Coordinate recognition programs and engagement activities to boost morale and performance.

Identify, assess, and mitigate potential employee relations issues proactively.

Update and maintain all employee relations policies and documentation.

Represent the company in collective bargaining negotiations and discussions.

Compile and present regular reports on employee relations trends and performance indicators.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

At least 10 years of progressive experience in employee relations or human resource management.

In-depth understanding of labor laws, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Proven ability to manage sensitive matters with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Prior experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial setting is preferred.

Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or Industrial Relations) is an added advantage.

Proficiency in HR information systems and related software tools.

Demonstrated capacity to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
