Job Description:

We are seeking a competent, safety-conscious, and highly motivated Electrical Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance Team responsible for the maintenance of GE Frame 6B Gas Turbine engine. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Requirements:

  • Carry out preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, MCCs, control panels, and auxiliary systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure all electrical equipment operates within specified parameters.
  • Participate in planned shutdowns, overhauls, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work procedures, and electrical safety standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving plant reliability and availability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a power plant, gas processing facility, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environment.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical distribution systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, PLCs, motors, and control systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults effectively.
  • Good understanding of electrical safety practices and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Respond to emergencies, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary

N550,000 - N625,000 monthly.
