Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team in Gbagada. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end electrical lifecycle of vertical transportation equipment, including elevators and escalators.

If you are a technical professional with a strong background in control systems and a knack for troubleshooting complex machinery, we want you on our team. You will be instrumental in ensuring our installations are perfect, our maintenance is proactive, and our systems are always running safely.

Requirements:

• Installation & Commissioning: Supervise the successful installation and commissioning of new equipment to ensure it meets operational standards.

• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose electrical faults quickly and carry out necessary repairs to minimize downtime.

• Maintenance & Upgrades: Conduct routine preventative maintenance and lead system upgrades to improve efficiency and longevity.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

• Documentation: Prepare clear technical reports and maintain accurate maintenance logs for all equipment.

• Collaboration: Work closely with our procurement and project teams to ensure that project timelines and resource requirements are met.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A B.Sc. or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience working with elevators, escalators, or similar electromechanical systems.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and VFDs.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and schematics.

  • Experience with international elevator brands (e.g., Otis, Schindler, KONE) is highly desired.

• Certifications: Professional certification (COREN or equivalent) is required.

• Problem-Solving: You are an analytical thinker who can diagnose issues under pressure.

• Mobility: You are willing to travel to various project sites as required by the business.
