Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and high-energy Customer Care Representative to serve as the primary link between our kitchen and our customers. In this role, you will manage the entire lifecycle of a food order from the moment an inquiry hits our social media or Glovo tablet to the final successful delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring that every customer interaction is professional, every order is accurate, and every delivery is timely.

The ideal candidate is a multitasking expert who can handle high-pressure periods with a calm demeanor and coordinate seamlessly with kitchen and dispatch teams to maintain excellence.

Requirements:

Order Management & Coordination

  • Digital Order Processing: Manage and process incoming orders from online platforms such as Glovo, as well as inquiries via WhatsApp and social media.

  • Accuracy Verification: Confirm specific details for every order, including special dietary requests, delivery addresses, and payment status before the kitchen begins preparation.

  • Team Synergy: Act as the central coordinator between the Kitchen (for preparation updates) and the Dispatch/Delivery teams (for pickup and logistics) to ensure order accuracy and speed.

Customer Engagement & Support

  • Inquiry Handling: Respond promptly to customer questions regarding menu items, pricing, active promotions, and estimated delivery timelines.

  • Conflict Resolution: Professionally handle customer complaints, resolving issues such as late deliveries or order errors, and escalating complex matters to management when necessary.

  • Feedback Management: Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and assist in managing ratings and reviews on delivery platforms to maintain a high brand reputation.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of customer interactions, feedback, and daily order logs.

  • Progress Tracking: Monitor the live status of all outgoing orders to provide real-time updates to customers if delays occur.

  • Operational Assistance: Support daily administrative tasks and customer service initiatives as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Qualification: OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in any field.

  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or the food industry is highly preferred.

  • Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with managing orders on Glovo, Chowdeck, or Jumia Food is a significant advantage.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Digital Literacy: Strong proficiency in using WhatsApp Business, social media platforms, and basic Microsoft Excel for record-keeping.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional tone.

  • Multitasking: Proven ability to manage multiple orders and inquiries simultaneously during peak hours (e.g., lunch and dinner rushes).

Core Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in verifying order specifics to minimize errors and wastage.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet when delivery or kitchen delays occur.

  • Time Management: Highly organized with a focus on meeting delivery timelines and maintaining service speed.

Salary

N80,000 - N100,000 per month.
